“主裁和VAR裁判都很爛。都烂在第一個點球上，穆帅我甚至沒有看到亞伯拉罕觸球 。飞奔我讓主裁給我看看視頻 ，入场因為我的化解和錄像分析師實在是看不出來 。他們給我看了片段 ，冲突什麽都看不出來 。赛后”穆裏尼奧開炮 ，“我還沒看到能確認他手球的圖 ，我能看到他張開了手臂 ，但看不出手臂是否觸球了 。在這種爭議很大的情況下 ，VAR不該讓主裁去看回放，他們應該閉嘴，去喝茶或者喝啤酒。如果這是點球 ，那紮尼奧洛和伊巴涅斯的也是點球 。要麽三個都吹 ，要麽就一個也不吹 。如果我是主裁判 ，我一個都不吹 。還有最後時刻的點球 ，動作與紮尼奧拉倒下時一樣 ，我們想要統一的判罰標準 。”
羅馬目前僅僅排名第7 ，穆裏尼奧表示這是球隊實力不足 ，與他的技戰術安排無關 。“在0-1或者0-2的時候 ，我們仍然有機會 ，但球隊表現的確很糟糕 ，我們太容易就丟失球權了 。我們鬥誌一直沒問題，但技術層麵太差了 ，這阻礙了我們的進步 。”穆裏尼奧表示不背鍋 ，“我已經說過了，羅馬陣容是中遊水平 ，所以戰績也是中遊 ，這就是本應屬於我們的位置 。我們犯了很多錯 ，不是戰術問題 ，全都是個人失誤 。”
穆裏尼奧曾在2010年率領國米成為三冠王 ，他今夜因此被AC米蘭球迷狂噓 。穆帥對此給出回應 ：“三年前，AC米蘭曾邀請過我。在考慮了3天之後 ，我很高興地拒絕了他們 。我的確是個職業教練 ，但也需要考慮情感因素 。看到今天發生的事情 ，我對自己當初的決定感到雙倍快樂 。”
在這場比賽中，還發生了一幕小花絮 。亞伯拉罕曾與AC米蘭球員發生衝突 ，當時他已經身背一張黃牌了 。為了避免英格蘭中鋒被罰下 ，穆裏尼奧從教練席直接奔入場內 ，並且拉開了亞伯拉罕 。亞伯拉罕因為被吹點球而情緒失控 ，穆裏尼奧至少在比賽中仍然保持著冷靜的心態。
