比賽第57分鍾 ，为何弗雷澤拿到了球權 ，伤人但是动作得红在傳球的一刹那 ，C羅從其身後伸腳斷球，再现但是球场球迷C羅的動作非常大，高高挑起的为何他的腿部到了弗雷澤的頭部 ，而由於斷球動作過大 ，弗雷澤直接被帶倒在草坪上 。
一些球迷對於C羅的動作非常不滿 ，大家也在社交網絡上紛紛留言。“C羅摧毀了弗雷澤 ，他到底在想什麽 ？他為什麽沒有因此得到紅牌 ？這個動作太危險了 。” 、“C羅本賽季要做什麽動作才能拿到紅牌 ？”……
其實這也不是C羅重返曼聯後第一次做出這樣危險的犯規動作 。10月份對戰利物浦的比賽上半場結束前 ，C羅獲得一次單刀的機會，比較可惜的是 ，C羅的射門由於太正直接被利物浦門將阿利森封堵 。在阿利森的封堵之下 ，皮球漸漸向右上角角旗區滾去 ，不甘心的C羅趕緊向皮球追去 。在C羅追向皮球的同時 ，利物浦剛剛替換上場的小將瓊斯也趕緊追了上去 。由於瓊斯站位非常好 ，卡住了C羅，C羅在無法得到皮球的情況之下惱羞成怒對著瓊斯就是報複性三連踢。
11月份對戰曼城的比賽第90分鍾 ，曼聯0-2落後 ，布魯諾-費爾南德斯在一次搶球裏沒有斷下球 ，而是踢中了德布勞內的腳 。德布勞內向前摔倒，隨後被C羅用鞋底攻擊 。裁判邁克爾奧利弗立即出示黃牌處罰C羅 。
當時評論員辛克萊爾就怒斥C羅 ：“我希望C羅不要用這種鏟球來表現出懦弱。C羅有幾次類似的動作都逃過了判罰 ，比如他在對陣利物浦的比賽中踢了柯蒂斯-瓊斯的腹部。C羅生氣是因為他有贏球的精神 ，討厭輸球 。”
