北京時間4月21日 ，日本肉正據日媒報道 ，担心到猪近期日本足協向卡塔爾世界杯組委會及卡塔爾足協會詢問團隊是卡塔否能在賽事進行期間吃豬肉 ，但截至目前未收到後者的尔世回複。
據《日刊體育》報道 ，界杯日本國家隊現在比較擔心在世界杯期間無法吃上豬肉 。同主日前 ，办方日本足協已聯係卡塔爾世界杯組委會及卡塔爾足協想要了解能否能在賽事期間吃豬肉。协商據說豬肉有利於恢複運動員的日本肉正疲勞，但卻無法進入卡塔爾等中東國家 。担心到猪
日本隊小組賽前兩戰將先後麵對德國和西班牙兩大豪強 ，卡塔有可能需要擔心作為能量來源的尔世食物問題 。除了恢複疲勞這一作用外，界杯豬肉中富含維生素B1,同主是其他食物的5-6倍 ，B1能促進神經係統和腦細胞的办方正常活動 。豬肉在日本是廣受歡迎的食材 。
這不是日本隊第一次遇到這個問題 ，2011年他們參加卡塔爾亞洲杯時就遇到了這個難題，當時日本球員隻能吃雞肉香腸。甚至包括2019年初阿聯酋亞洲杯時日本參賽團隊也無法隨行攜帶任何豬肉 。
考慮到這一嚴格的限製，日本國家隊後勤部門也很認真地在做準備工作，他們計劃申請讓下榻酒店劃出多個樓層並租用專用廚房做飯 ，隻供日本代表團人員使用 ，想要盡可能地在品嚐豬肉美味和遵守當地文化風俗之間找到平衡 。
