馬奎爾本賽季的对马度失狀態極度糟糕 ，曼聯目前在英超已經丟掉41球 ，拉师英格蘭人“功不可沒” 。傅极在德國《轉會市場》的望清文帝估價中 ，馬奎爾的洗人星身價已經從加盟曼聯時的5000萬歐元 ，下跌至如今的购尤4000萬歐元 。要知道 ，曼联曼聯當初為了簽下馬奎爾 ，可是向萊斯特城支付了高達8700萬歐元的轉會費 ，紅魔的這筆交易可謂血虧 。
除了馬奎爾 ，曼聯準備清洗的還有根正苗紅的拉什福德 。本賽季 ，拉什福德在各項賽事出場27場 ，隻打入5球，助攻2次，他甚至還落選了索斯蓋特的英格蘭大名單 ，狀態著實愁人 。
fichajes表示 ，曼聯對於今夏引進德裏赫特非常感興趣 。而鑒於馬奎爾和拉什福德的糟糕表現 ，對兩人非常失望的曼聯 ，已經開始計劃在今夏將二人清洗。不過 ，雖然由於財政狀況的原因 ，曼聯需要出售球員來籌集引進德裏赫特的資金 ，但fichajes也表示 ，同樣不能排除紅魔以球員+現金的方式完成交易的可能 。然而 ，鑒於馬奎爾和拉什福德“名聲在外” ，尤文是否願意接盤就不得而知了。
