北京時間6月30日，连人埃弗頓官方宣布 ，主帅正式执教貝尼特斯出任球隊新任主帥 ，贝尼雙方簽下了3年的埃弗合同 。
貝尼特斯接受埃弗頓官網采訪時表示 ：“我很高興能夠加入埃弗頓俱樂部。顿双在整個談話過程當中 ，约年俱樂部高層表現出來的连人雄心壯誌以及他們渴望為這家曆史悠久的俱樂部帶來榮耀的意願給我留下了深刻的印象 。”
貝尼特斯現年61歲 ，主帅正式执教教練時期曾執教過卡斯蒂亞 、贝尼巴拉多利德 、埃弗瓦倫西亞 、顿双利物浦 、约年國際米蘭 、连人切爾西 、主帅正式执教那不勒斯 、贝尼皇馬 、紐卡 、大連人等球隊 。
