在本賽季首輪意甲聯賽中，伤势适C羅出人意料地沒有首發 ，碍周隻是末意在第60分鍾才替補出場 ，一時間關於C羅準備在今夏離隊的出场此前報道不斷 。而在本周三尤文的训练隊內訓練中 ，C羅和隊友桑德羅發生了身體衝撞 ，中感隨後C羅感覺右臂不適 。伤势适在尤文工作人員的碍周陪同下 ，C羅離開訓練場提前返回了更衣室 ，末意可以看到C羅在離場時還不斷嚐試活動自己的右臂。
尤文跟隊記者羅密歐稱C羅將在數小時內接受詳細診斷，當時人們擔心 ，C羅可能會因為這次受傷缺席本周末的第二輪意甲聯賽 ，屆時尤文將在主場迎戰恩波利 。這也是新賽季尤文的首個主場比賽 ，在因為疫情被禁止現場觀戰一年多時間後 ，尤文球迷們都對這場比賽充滿期待 ，並希望看到C羅也能出場比賽 。
