阿曼隊主教練伊萬科維奇此前曾經執教過山東魯能 ，配们對於中國足球也比較了解 ，目标賽前發布會上 ，主帅中国战胜伊萬科維奇表示 ：“明天對於我們是队积对手非常重要的比賽 ，我們想要在12強賽取得好的分和成績 ，我們會試著擊敗每個對手 ，实力我們希望我們的不匹球迷也能享受比賽，讓球迷為我們高興 ，配们我們的目标夢想是進入世界杯 ，我知道這是主帅中国战胜非常難的 ，但是我們為了夢想而努力 。中國隊目前的積分與球隊的實際能力和表現不相匹配。明天會有很多的中國觀眾 ，還有對於我們不利的是 ，我們三個重要隊員，包括隊長，包括前鋒 ，受傷無法參加 。”
阿曼隊員阿裏布.塞迪表示 ：“明天對於我們是非常重要的，這場比賽的勝利對於我們能否進入世界杯非常重要 ，謝謝明天到場的阿曼球迷 ，我們會以最大的努力 ，去爭取想要的結果 。”
在被問到十年前的中國足球和現在的中國足球有什麽區別時 ，伊萬科維奇表示 ：“10年前我在中國執教 ，那是很開心的時光 ，我執教的山東魯能也在中國獲得了冠軍，與當時相比，中國球員有了很大的區別 ，球員不同 ，技戰術風格不同，很難去去對比現在的中國隊和以前的中國隊 ，目前的中國隊有四名歸化球員 ，他們應該給現在的中國隊帶來很大的變化 。”
