北京時間8月5日消息 ，曝中大連名宿朱元寶在個人社交平台上 ，国足冠军透露了中國足壇名宿蓋增君因病離世的坛名消息 。
朱元寶寫道：
驚聞那位率隊奪得冠軍樣數最多的宿盖蓋增君教練病故啦！
剛剛接到老國腳閆群教練發來的增君曾随噩耗 ：
蓋導今零晨離世。願好球友好朋友一路走好！因病元年也希望俺們都把自己照顧好了 。离世
前些日子得知蓋增君指導從上海接受手術後住在駐軍醫院，大连队获就約了高惠辰指導一起去看望他。曝中那時雖然消瘦得厲害，国足冠军但精神蠻好 ，坛名還如同以往一樣 侃侃而談 。宿盖總覺得雖然不很樂觀 ，增君曾随但沒想到這麽快就離開了！因病元年實在讓人疼惜不已 。离世
蓋指導兄弟四人都是上世紀專業足球隊員 ，都打過甲級隊 ，其中二位是國家隊的 ，是足球界罕見的奇跡，因此我給他們起了個“蓋氏四傑”的稱呼 。
曾君教練曾先後效力過遼寧，北部 八一等隊 。退役後回到家鄉大連一直從事青少年訓練工作 。培養的好苗子以及國家隊員諸多 。他與大連足球界同仁一起先後奪得多次冠軍 ：
1985年率領東北路小學隊獲得全國貝貝杯冠軍 ，
86年率領率領大連童子軍獲得全國萌芽杯冠軍 ，
87年率領大連少年隊獲得全國希望杯冠軍，
88年率領大連青年隊獲得第一屆城運會足球比賽冠軍 。
89年調入大連體委工作 ，與戚務生教練等一起帶領大連隊重返甲A ，從此大連隊一直處於國內足球一流水平 。
92年大連隊獲得全國五人製冠軍和東亞五人製冠軍 ，參加了第二屆世界五人製比賽 。當年大連隊還獲得了全國足協杯冠軍 。
93年與遼寧隊一起奪得全運會冠軍，
94年率領大連萬達隊奪得了第一屆職業聯賽冠軍 ！
96年還與高惠辰指導陳德雲指導一起率領深圳金鵬隊獲得全國乙級聯賽冠軍 衝甲成功！
後來還率領大連女足獲得全國冠軍…… ，如此多樣的冠軍 ，也堪稱一最 ！
曾君教練家住大連體育場附近，自幼受到足球熏陶 ，尤其受到遼寧足壇名將長兄蓋增聖影響 ，還沒上小學就接觸過足球。
他一生熱愛足球 ，待人熱情 ，為大連乃至中國足球奉獻了一切！
後昆們要努力 ，學習他的好榜樣 ，為提高足球水平多多付出啊 ！
