現年26歲的纽卡纳亦馬夏爾曾效力過裏昂和摩納哥 ，2015年加盟曼聯，阿森並入選過法國國家隊 。巴萨至今馬夏爾已經為曼聯出場278次打進79球 ，欲用但隨著曼聯青訓球員格林伍德的登贝崛起，以及卡瓦尼和C羅先後加盟，莱交馬夏爾在曼聯的换马空間越來越小。
顯然 ，夏尔想求在曼聯枯坐冷板凳不利於馬夏爾的纽卡纳亦職業發展，他想要去一支可以多踢比賽的球隊 ，而曼聯在收到合適的報價後也願意放人 。此前西甲塞維利亞已經向曼聯求購馬夏爾 ，而《鏡報》透露 ，巴薩 、紐卡斯爾 、阿森納這三家俱樂部也對馬夏爾感興趣 。
