穆爾的系穆想破母親麗薩 ，有一頭烏黑靚麗的尔加頭發顯示華裔的痕跡 ，據介紹，盟欧麗薩的外公，也就是基弗外曾外祖父 ，是一位來自中國廣東的海員，很早已經移民英國利物浦 。
穆爾以前和北京國安有過聯係 ，他的類型很像國安上世紀末的外援安德列斯，高而不笨 ，腳下有活 ，穆爾個人很期待加入中國國籍為中國國家隊效力 ，國安也有歸化李可和侯永永的經驗 ，不過和李可等人不同的是 ，穆爾已經是第四代華裔 ，歸化球員政策實施以來 ，三代以上華裔球員操作難度極大 ，中國足協尚未做出有關三代以上華裔球員的歸化細則 。
歐洲杯之前 ，穆爾首次入選了威爾士大名單，隨著他在歐洲杯上的出場進球 ，歸化已成泡影 。
