北京時間6月4日 ，曝海新賽季中超聯賽首輪 ，港队上海海港0-1不敵武漢長江 。严厉因被比賽上半場 ，处罚徐新因為對胡靖航嚴重犯規而被直紅罰下 ，徐新導致上海海港隻能少打一人 ，罚下最終0-1輸掉了比賽 。后冲今年4月底 ，动行徐新離開山東泰山 ，曝海加盟上海海港 ，港队本場比賽是严厉因被他代表海港隊出戰的第一場正式比賽。
當時 ，处罚徐新前場爭搶右腳蹬到了胡靖航的徐新背部 ，胡靖航的罚下球衣被蹬破 ，痛苦倒地，后冲他的手臂和腰部留下鞋釘血痕 。賽後，徐新在社媒發文向胡靖航道歉 ：徐新寫道：不好意思啊兄弟啊 ，今天那個球起跳時注意力完全在球上，起跳的很高 ，點判斷不是很好 ，在空中保持平衡，勾著身子去想去頂球 ，球是碰到了，但沒有看到你從斜後方過來刮到了，沒啥事就好，我的我的 ，後麵比賽好運，空了喝茶 。
比賽結束之後回到酒店 ，海港俱樂部副總孫祥當天晚上也找他談了話 ，希望情緒不要受到影響 。還有球隊人士直言，“徐新還是太年輕了 ，在球場上遇見這種事很正常 ，別看他都28歲 ，經曆的事情還是太少了 。”
此前有消息稱 ，足協可能對鄭錚這徐新兩位染紅國腳做出追加處罰 ，同時，由於在被罰下後的一些衝動行為，海港俱樂部很可能會就此對徐新進行嚴厲處罰 。（編輯 劉水土）
