克洛普賽後抱怨道 ：“薩迪奧（馬內）所遭遇的 ，我必須要說 ，我不能理解今晚的裁判 。在我看來，那似乎是私仇 ，因為他對待薩迪奧就好像他在跳水或是其它什麽一樣 ，但那是個明顯的犯規 。而從那時開始 ，無論薩迪奧何時摔倒 ，他都不會有任何反應 ，這不僅僅是不正確的問題了 。這就是我在賽後對裁判說的 ，我隻是覺得他對薩迪奧不公正 ，就是這麽回事 。這不會改變任何事情，他沒有輸掉比賽 ，是我們做得不夠好 。但是在這樣的場合，你需要一位能過關的裁判 ，這就足夠了 。”
談到本場比賽，克洛普說道 ：“首先 ，我們今晚配不上勝利 ，這是實話 。我們踢得不夠好，這是我最關心的。尤其是在上半場，我們沒能踢出足夠好的足球 。我們先是丟掉了第一球 ，然後拱手送上了第二球 ，但那不是這場比賽最本質的原因 。我們在下半場踢得稍好一些 ，踢出了更好的足球 ，試著在一支極具激情和深度防守的皇馬麵前創造機會 ，同時還要提防他們在反擊中的威脅 。我們打入一球 ，那當然是今晚積極的一點 。我們配得上比1-3收獲更多嗎 ？實話說我持懷疑態度。”
