在出售了主力右後衛阿什拉夫之後 ，國際米蘭迫切需要引進一位即插即用的邊路球員 ，阿森納飛翼貝萊林進入了藍黑軍團的視野 。據悉 ，國際米蘭此前提出了一份租借加買斷的報價 ，但阿森納更想直接將貝萊林出售 ，或者在租借合同中加入強製買斷條款 。因此 ，阿森納拒絕了國際米蘭的報價 ，並為貝萊林標價2000萬歐元 。《鏡報》稱 ，國際米蘭並未放棄引進貝萊林 ，球員本人也重申了自己願意加盟藍黑軍團的意願 。國際米蘭CEO馬洛塔在接受意大利天空體育采訪時說道 ：“貝萊林是我們正在關注的球員 ，對此我不能再說更多了 。”
