It looks like the seal might actually be something of a local celebrity. Sammy the seal has been a fixture in Wicklow for a few years now, after the fishmongers started chucking him herring and mackerel.
Throwing him a fish or two is one thing, but having him raid the shop is another -- and it's not the first time Sammy's been caught in the act.
Even if he's been around for a few years now, people are always happy to hear about Sammy.
