姆巴佩在2016-2017賽季成名 ，球队在那個賽季的姆巴歐冠聯賽淘汰賽中 ，他打入6個進球 ，佩离吸引了全歐洲的队天到比目光 。在2017年的留下夏天 ，諸多豪門都對姆巴佩虎視眈眈 ，巴黎最終巴黎以租借外加1.8億歐元買斷的更好方式引進了姆巴佩 。

而隨著梅西的加盟 ，姆巴佩的離開或許會提前 。法國權威的《隊報》稱 ，梅西的加盟讓姆巴佩感到困擾 ，他擔心自己可能將會處於梅西和內馬爾這兩位傑出隊友的陰影之下 ，因此會在下周一就提交離隊報告 。
但是迪馬利亞卻有不同的看法 ，他表示 ：“我認為姆巴佩會留下。雖然我知道世界上每一個大俱樂部都想得到他 。但是就目前來看 ，我認為他在全世界不會找到比巴黎更好的俱樂部了。”
