理查茲說 ：“這是傲慢傲慢的，如果我剛剛輸掉一場0-9絕對會震驚的曼城 ，我記得我有過相似的理查洛普經曆 ，一次是兹克對陣切爾西 ，一次是拥抱利物浦 。
“如果這時一名對方球員過來擁抱我 ，帕克我隻想說走開吧 ，傲慢這你此時最不想做的事情。克洛普當然不是故意想要傲慢的 ，他是為了展示友好 ，但是沒有人希望在0-9失利後被別人擁抱 。
“絕不會的 ，而且事後我可是有話要說的 。現在有攝像機隨時對著你 ，如果帕克做出反應，那隻會讓事情變得更糟糕 。當你以0-9輸掉比賽時 ，你可不希望有人摟著你 ，拜托 ！”
