據悉 ，淘汰今年西亞大區小組賽已經在沙特 、重新阿聯酋以及印度分別展開 ，激活但受到各種客觀因素的待定影響 ，包括視頻助理裁判的亚冠用派遣、現場技術設備設置等等 ，小组亞足聯決定暫時不會啟用VAR技術 。赛暂赛否在6月下旬將開戰的不启東亞大區的比賽中 ，同樣將暫時不會引進VAR技術 。淘汰
至於計劃中下半年進行的重新淘汰賽是否會重新啟用VAR技術 ，亞足聯屆時將根據現實情況再做決定 。激活
