對於這9家俱樂部 ，歐足聯將會扣除他們一個賽季歐戰收入的5%作為懲罰，這筆錢同樣會被用於社區和青少年足球發展 。如果這9家俱樂部還試圖參加未獲得授權的比賽 ，那就會被罰款1億歐元 。如果他們違反了俱樂部承諾宣言條款 ，則會被罰款5000萬歐元 。
對於尚未退出歐超的三家俱樂部 ，歐足聯也要馬上展開行動了。按照此前媒體的報道 ，歐足聯主席切費林想要對皇馬 、巴薩 、尤文處以歐戰禁賽兩年的重罰。Cope電台指出 ，皇馬仍然認為歐超是拯救足球的最優解，並希望與歐足聯繼續展開對話。巴薩此前則官方表態稱 ，是否退出歐超要會員大會來做決定 。《世界體育報》指出，巴薩對歐足聯目前的態度感到無法接受，巴薩希望得到歐足聯應有的尊重 。Cope電台還透露 ，巴薩將會在今天發表官方公告 ，紅藍軍團並不擔心來自歐足聯的威脅和壓迫 。
《紐約時報》則報道稱 ，皇馬、巴薩和尤文 ，將通過法律手段起訴退出歐超的9家俱樂部，並索要經濟賠償 。在12家初始俱樂部簽署歐超合同時 ，合同中針對退出情況有明文規定的處罰條款 。違約金為上賽季歐超聯賽中收入的50% ，再加上1.5億歐元 ，或者過去4個賽季收入的25% 。
