北京時間2月27日 ，比赛贝英超球會利茲聯官方宣布，狂丢與主教練貝爾薩達成了解約協議，球官阿根廷“瘋子”教練下課 ，兹联主帅結束了白玫瑰四年執教生涯 。萨解
貝爾薩被解雇，近场最大原因是比赛贝本賽季成績糟糕 ，英超聯賽27輪戰罷 ，狂丢少賽一場的球官他們僅取得5勝8平13負 ，積23分 ，兹联主帅排在積分榜第16位 ，萨解僅比排名倒數第三的近场伯恩利高出2分 ，由於伯恩利僅踢了24場聯賽 ，比赛贝這也意味著利茲聯的狂丢保級形勢極其糟糕 。需要指出的是，過去一段時間 ，利茲聯更是一爛到底 ，最近4場聯賽全敗 ，其中3場比賽被零封 ，4場比賽足足丟掉了17球 ，包括客場0-6慘遭利物浦屠殺 ，以及主場0-4負於熱刺 。算上聯賽客場3-3戰平阿斯頓維拉 ，利茲聯最近5場比賽狂丟20球。
由於近期成績過於離譜 ，利茲聯高層經過慎重考慮後，決定與貝爾薩解約。事實上 ，利茲聯與貝爾薩的合同今年夏天到期 ，此前已有消息披露 ，雙方不會再續約 ，如今的“分手”不過是提前宣布 。據悉 ，接替貝爾薩帥位的是前萊比錫紅牛主帥傑西-馬什 ，他將在剩餘賽季帶領利茲聯，第一目標是保住英超席位 。
