Apple's M2 chips made their debut in 2022, appearing in everything from the lightweight MacBook Air to new iPads, as well as the ultra-lightweight and portable Mac mini desktop line. But despite the actual Mac mini being the perfect size for working on the go — whether that's across the room or the country — it's always been a bit pricey for many users to justify adding to their setup. The 256GB model is no slouch. Though it's only a small upgrade from the original Mac mini when it comes to its internals, it includes a new 8-core CPU and a new 10-core GPU that speeds things up significantly from 2020's M1 model. While it's true you'll likely find punchier PCs for the price, these upgraded Apple computers are still great options for creatives and anyone who does a lot of photo or video editing. They're snappy, easy to move around, and you can't beat their sleek aesthetic.
