該獎項將由國際足聯旗下各協會所代表國家隊的领围隊長和主教練 、各國記者以及球迷共同投票 ，年世鸟入2021年世界足球先生獎項將於歐洲中部時間11月22日開始投票 ，界足歐洲中部時間2021年12月10日23:59（北京時間12月11日06:59）截止投票 。球先FIFA官方表示 ，生候2022年1月初將公布各獎項最後三人候選名單，选梅衔2022年1月17日進行頒獎 ，罗莱此次頒獎典禮將在蘇黎世國際足聯總部以線上形式舉行 。领围
