視頻顯示 ，一頭被關在籠子裏的白虎牙齒上拴著繩子 ，繩子另一頭是奇爾韋爾與他的幾個朋友們 ，約有5個人組成“一隊”，奇爾韋爾打頭陣 。
他們就這樣隔著籠子 ，與老虎拔河 ，周圍的人都在哈哈大笑 。
有人將這則拔河視頻發在社交媒體上 ，還加上標題“我們贏了” 。

視頻曝光後 ，動物保護組織猛烈抨擊奇爾韋爾虐待動物 ，並呼籲對奇爾韋爾禁賽處罰 。
該動物園解釋稱 ，這是一項娛樂遊戲 ，已經開展多年 。
然而 ，英國防止虐待動物協會（RSPCA）認為 ：“這是虐待動物 ！動物園經常說 ，他們的目標是教育公眾如何保護動物 ，然而這完全是以公眾娛樂為目的進行營銷，對動物根本不尊重。”

2月8日 ，西漢姆聯隊現役球員 、前切爾西後衛祖瑪虐待兩隻寵物貓的視頻在網絡瘋傳 。迫於輿論壓力，祖瑪出麵道歉 ，並保證自己的貓身體健康 ，但仍然無法阻止事件發酵 。
祖瑪因此被罰2周工資約25萬鎊 ，還有讚助商因此終止與西漢姆聯隊的合作 ，可謂是損失慘重 。
西漢姆聯隊為了挽回聲譽 ，本周早些時候宣布 ，將向幾家動物福利慈善機構捐贈大筆款項 。
目前 ，切爾西俱樂部和奇爾韋爾本人都沒有對此事發表評論 。
