在與維埃裏製作Bobo TV的祷感節目時 ，卡薩諾說道：“每一天，谢皇C羅都應該向本澤馬祈禱 ，有本感謝他能在自己身邊踢球 。泽马我們現在看到了 ，卡萨本澤馬原本隻能進18-20球 。但在今年 ，算上進球和助攻 ，他參與了50球。在他還為C羅服務的時候 ，C羅能打入50球。然而 ，C羅現在不同了 ，即便是在尤文時也是這樣 。本澤馬是一名中鋒 ，但他有齊達內的一雙腳 。”
自從C羅離開皇馬之後，本澤馬的數據一下就有了大幅提升 。2017-18賽季 ，本澤馬隻打入12球助攻11次 。但是在2018-19賽季 ，本澤馬的數據一下躍升為30球11助攻 。2019-20賽季 ，本澤馬打入27球助攻11次 。2020-21賽季 ，本澤馬打入30球助攻9次 。而在本賽季 ，本澤馬37場比賽37球13助攻 ，甚至達到了場均進1球的水準 。
