需要指出的是 ，孔蒂在英倫足壇有過成功的經曆 ，他在切爾西執教兩年 ，率隊奪得了2016-2017賽季英超冠軍和2017-2018賽季足總杯冠軍 ，他打造的三後衛戰術 ，一度橫掃英倫足壇 ，成為其他教練爭相模仿的對象 。在此之前 ，孔蒂還曾執教過尤文圖斯 ，他帶領球隊走出了電話門陰影 、完成了複興 。據悉 ，除了熱刺外 ，皇馬也將孔蒂列為球隊換帥的候選 ，因為齊達內已經決定離開伯納烏 。
