北京時間5月31日中國足球協會在其官網發布聲明稱，国足鑒於馬爾代夫、有望严峻敘利亞國家足球隊內近期發生疫情感染 ，日包根據中國關於入境人員疫情防控的机出相關規定，馬爾代夫 、征迪敘利亞兩隊入境參賽需嚴格隔離 ，拜超不能如期參加比賽 。度高根據亞足聯決定 ，温成四十強賽A組的考验剩餘比賽將不在蘇州舉辦 ，轉移至阿聯酋迪拜繼續舉行。国足中國隊的有望严峻世界杯備戰工作遭遇致命打擊 。
北京時間31日下午 ，日包中國足協將在香格裏拉酒店召開新聞發布會 ，机出對相關情況進行進一步的征迪說明 。現在隻能說此前中國足協為40強賽所作的拜超工作全部白費 ，一切都需要從頭再來 。目前國家隊需要盡快完成交通 、食宿等方麵的工作 ，確保能夠盡早趕往迪拜 ，開始備戰 。
有消息稱 ，中國隊已經基本確定將於6月2日乘坐包機 ，從上海出發，前往多哈 。按照原計劃，中國隊將於6月3日與馬爾代夫過招 ，不過在目前這種情況下 ，這場比賽很可能被順延。
無論如何 ，國足都將麵臨交通 、天氣 、場地適應等諸多困難 ，與之相比 ，小組的另外三個對手敘利亞和馬爾代夫早已經在迪拜集結，以逸待勞 ，而菲律賓從集訓的多哈飛往迪拜，飛行距離也僅一個小時 。這些對於中國隊而言都會變得非常不利 。
目前唯一對於中國隊比較有利的就是 ，去年年底G4球隊都前往多哈參加過亞冠的比賽 ，四家俱樂部原本不打算派主力出戰 ，足協考慮到世預賽可能會在中立場地舉行 ，最終做通了四家俱樂部的工作 ，全部派遣主力出戰 ，這意味著國足的絕大多數國腳對於西亞的比賽環境並不算陌生。
不過相比冬季相對涼爽的氣溫條件 ，目前的迪拜已經進入到盛夏 。從天氣預報的情況開看 ，最近兩天迪拜的最高溫度都超過了40度 。31日當天的高溫更是高達43度 ，這對於中國國足而言 ，絕對是嚴峻的考驗 。（搜狐體育 裴力 蘇州報道）
