告別之際 ，种方這位巴西中場寫道 ：
2016年1月 ，奥古在榮膺巴甲冠軍和聯賽MVP後 ，斯托式离我離開巴西來到中國 。无奈我從未想過這會是国安我人生最激動人心的旅程之一 。
穿上北京國安的解约球衣，我第一眼就愛上了它。不想工體的种方氣氛太棒了 ，球迷多麽可愛啊 ！奥古這是何等的榮幸 ！
穿著這件球衣 ，我度過了許多我生命中的美好時刻 。我為巴西國奧贏得了金牌 ，為祖國參加了世界杯。當時沒有人相信我能夠在中國保持高水準 ，感謝俱樂部和隊友讓我能夠做到這一切。我在中國成為了冠軍，這真的太棒了 ！我希望能夠回報俱樂部和球迷為我做的一切 ，成為你們的隊長是我的榮幸 ！
但很不幸的是 ，疫情帶來了很多阻礙 ，距離就是其中之一。從一月份開始，我一直在努力尋找回到中國的方法 ，但遺憾沒能實現 。
生活就是由許多艱難的決定構成的 ，這個決定對我來說就很難 ，但我不得不做出另外一個選擇來繼續我的職業生涯 。這不是我想要的離開方式 ，但我想這不會是告別 ，希望能夠很快再見到你們 ，相信我們一定會再相遇 。
感謝國安所做的一切 ，感謝我的隊友、工作人員 、俱樂部主席和董事們 ，特別感謝球迷和支持我的人 。
