北京時間12月13日 ，广州给更在此前結束的城主中超第15輪爭冠組的一場比賽中，廣州城隊0-2不敵長春亞泰 。帅开賽後 ，局慢廣州城主帥範加斯特出席了新聞發布會 ，热丢談到了球隊的球太轻球表現 。
範加斯特表示 ：“這場比賽開局比較慢熱 ，多年很早就丟球了 。员机我也知道球隊已經幾個月沒有比賽，广州给更隻有一些友誼賽 ，城主所以在節奏上進入狀態比較慢 ，帅开這也是局慢比較大的原因 。上半場我們有很多傳接球的热丢失誤 ，導致我們發揮的球太轻球不太好 ，下半場球隊的多年表現有所改進 ，通過中場的調整 ，傳控球還是有進步 ，總體的運轉還不錯 ，對方的實力也很強 ，我認為對方也是配得上比賽的勝利。”
另外 ，範加斯特也談到了球隊的傷病問題：“現實就是這樣，總得去麵對 ，像弋騰他也是上賽季經曆了很長時間的傷病 ，一直沒有完全恢複 。李提香手上也是之前有傷，現在還需要一個保護。陳誌釗手掌骨折 ，剛剛康複沒多久 。”
在媒體問及有關新人球員的問題時 ，範加斯特說道 ：“我們會給新人更多機會 ，今天上場的溫永駿隻有18歲，上賽季17歲時也有過首秀 ，後續我們還是會根據實際情況做人員調配 ，青訓在廣州城俱樂部也是很重要的一部分 ，我們還是會給更多年輕球員機會 ，為培養中國足球的新生代作出努力 。”
