本周一曼聯官方宣布 ，联转拉内已經和多特蒙德就桑喬的攻瓦轉會達成了協議 。而ESPN透露，有信曼聯在今夏還將補強後防線 ，心万而主帥索爾斯克亞的镑拿頭號引援目標是法國中衛瓦拉內 。
現年28歲的上树瓦拉內在2011年加盟皇馬 ，當時轉會費為850萬英鎊 。联转拉内目前瓦拉內已經是攻瓦皇馬和法國國家隊的主力後衛 ，不過他和皇馬的有信合同在明年夏天就將到期 ，而且雙方至今沒有續約 。心万ESPN稱 ，镑拿曼聯有信心以4300萬英鎊簽下瓦拉內，上树這比皇馬此前6000萬英鎊的联转拉内估價更低 。
皇馬隊長拉莫斯在今夏合同到期後已經正式離隊 ，攻瓦如果瓦拉內再轉會 ，皇馬在這個夏天將同時失去兩名主力中衛 。不過瓦拉內的合同隻剩最後一年，如果皇馬在今夏不賣人，明年瓦拉內就可以免費離隊 ，這也是皇馬無法接受的 。
巴西中衛米利唐上賽季下半程在皇馬坐穩了主力位置，並且表現出色。而皇馬在今夏還從拜仁簽下了後衛阿拉巴，此外皇馬還和萊斯特城後衛福法納以及比利亞雷亞爾後衛保-托雷斯有了聯係 ，他們都可能是替代瓦拉內的人選。
而曼聯如果簽下瓦拉內，可以讓他和馬奎爾組成新的中衛搭檔 ，這將大大提升球隊的後防實力 。《隊報》則表示 ，法國國家隊無緣歐洲杯八強後，瓦拉內已經開始度假 ，目前瓦拉內和曼聯還沒有達成協議 ，但球員會在度假三周後做出決定 。
《鏡報》透露 ，曼聯後衛達洛特也可能被加入瓦拉內的轉會談判 。22歲的達洛特上賽季被曼聯租借到米蘭 ，出場33次打進2球。今夏米蘭希望續租 ，但曼聯更願意出售球員 。而皇馬新主帥安切洛蒂一直很欣賞達洛特 ，在執教埃弗頓時就曾有意引進他 ，皇馬有可能在今夏出售表現不佳的奧德裏奧索拉並且引進達洛特 。
