在駐地酒店接受為期10天的封閉隔離後，上海申花隊32名球員在主帥吳金貴率領下於5月18日上午10點在大連人青訓基地球場進行了抵連後的大连的球队首次訓練 。申花隊也成為在新賽季中超聯賽賽區內展開集訓的开练首支球隊 。
5月7日 ，中超上海申花隊離開上海飛赴大連 ，训练隨後於當晚進駐位於大連人青訓基地的上海申花首支赛区中超大連賽區駐地酒店 ，並按規定接受為期“10＋7”天的大连的球队醫學隔離觀察 。
5月17日晚 ，开练申花隊全員在駐地接受了核酸檢測 。中超在全員通過檢測後，训练賽區方麵通知申花俱樂部 ，上海申花首支赛区球隊可以從18日開始訓練 。大连的球队不過 ，开练接下來球隊還需按防疫規定在駐地接受7天的中超自主隔離觀察 。
據了解，训练申花隊於18日上午10點在大連人青訓基地內的球場進行了抵連後的首次訓練 。由於申花隊是進駐新賽季中超賽區的首支球隊 ，因此他們也成為在賽區內展開訓練的首支球隊 。
共有32名球員參加了申花隊的訓練 。由於在此之前 ，球隊已足有10天未能訓練 ，因此18日的訓練以身體恢複為主 ，訓練的時間總體不長。
按照計劃 ，新賽季中超聯賽將於6月3日開賽 。因此申花隊開賽前仍能獲得2周的備戰時間。
