本周五曼聯官方宣布，回C号和回归C羅回歸加盟曼聯並簽約兩年 。罗或不過曼聯的选择7號球衣目前屬於卡瓦尼 ，C羅有可能選擇28號球衣 ，曼联梅西這是双双他在葡萄牙體育踢球時穿過的號碼 。
曼聯隊史上喬治-貝斯特 、出道坎通納 、爷青貝克漢姆等傳奇球星都穿過7號 ，回C号和回归而C羅在首次效力曼聯期間穿的罗或也是7號球衣，他用自己的选择表現獲得了曼聯球迷們的認可 。但如今曼聯的曼联梅西7號球衣屬於烏拉圭中鋒卡瓦尼 ，《鏡報》 、双双《太陽報》等媒體均指出 ，出道C羅這次將無法得到自己心儀的爷青7號球衣 ，隻能選擇其它號碼 。
目前曼聯隊內的空閑號碼還有12號 、15號 、24號、28號，此外就是大於30號的球衣號碼 。在這些號碼中 ，C羅最可能選擇的是28號 ，這是他在葡萄牙體育剛開始職業生涯時所穿的號碼 ，而《鏡報》還透露 ，C羅在2003年首次加盟曼聯時也曾想要穿28號 ，是老爵爺弗格森直接指定讓C羅穿7號 。
值得一提的是 ，梅西在加盟巴黎聖日耳曼後也沒有選擇自己習慣的10號球衣 ，盡管大巴黎10號球員內馬爾公開表態願意把號碼讓給梅西 ，但梅西還是選擇了30號球衣，這是梅西在巴薩剛出道時穿過的號碼 。而C羅在轉會曼聯後 ，同樣可能穿上自己剛出道時的28號 ，這兩位足壇雙驕歸來仍是少年 。
