北京時間6月20日淩晨 ，歐洲杯E組的魔咒一場焦點戰 ，西班牙在主場1-1戰平波蘭。本届杯至本場比賽 ，欧洲西班牙前鋒莫雷諾在自己造點後 ，今已仅次親自主罰點球 ，罚中然後他卻罰丟了 ，点球点球錯失了為鬥牛士軍團反超比分的魔咒機會 。據Squawka統計 ，本届杯至本屆歐洲杯罰丟點球的欧洲次數比罰中點球的次數還要多。
據悉 ，今已仅次本屆歐洲杯至今已判罰了9個點球，罚中但是点球点球僅罰中了4個點球 。罰丟點球的魔咒球員為莫雷諾（西班牙） 、馬利諾夫斯基（烏克蘭） 、本届杯至貝爾（威爾士） 、霍伊別爾（丹麥）和阿利奧斯基（北馬其頓）。而罰入點球的球員則為C羅（葡萄牙） 、德佩（荷蘭）、福斯貝裏（瑞典）和希克（捷克） 。
