經我俱樂部管理層慎重研究決定 ，城聘即日起 ，请李聘請李瑋鋒為廣州城足球俱樂部一線隊主教練 。玮锋肇俊哲擔任俱樂部技術總監一職 ，担任不再擔任一線隊代理主教練的线队職務 。
李瑋鋒擁有輝煌的主教球員履曆和豐富的中超一線隊工作經驗 。他職業生涯共112次代表中國隊出場 ，练肇是俊哲监有史以來代表中國國家隊出場次數最多的球員 ，也是任技國內唯一一位同時征戰過世界杯和奧運會的男足運動員 。退役後，术总李瑋鋒曾擔任天津天海足球俱樂部副總經理兼領隊、广州教練組組長等職務 。城聘2019賽季後半段，请李李瑋鋒臨危受命 ，玮锋接任天津天海主教練一職 ，最終他率領球隊提前一輪保級成功。期待李瑋鋒的到來 ，能豐富球隊的技戰術打法 ，同時也為球隊注入更強的拚搏精神 ，讓球隊更具韌勁地迎接接下來的挑戰 。
俱樂部也感謝肇俊哲在擔任代理主帥期間的辛勤工作與付出 ，他在關鍵時刻體現了足球人的責任與擔當 。肇俊哲與李瑋鋒曾攜手為國征戰多年，2004年亞洲杯 ，兩人曾共同擔任國家隊隊長一職 ，擁有默契的合作關係 。我們相信 ，此番兩人的聯手將會為廣州城注入新的活力 。
當前 ，廣州城隊正處於保級的關鍵時期，縱使前路布滿荊棘 ，我們依然永不言棄 。我們期待 ，廣州城將會在新的教練團隊的帶領下 ，展現出全新的精神風貌 ，眾誌成城 ，奮力拚搏 ，完成本賽季的保級目標。
