隨後瓜帥談起了曼城球員目前的心態以及比賽的應對方式 ：“很榮幸進入四強 ，但我也想讓球員知道不要擔心輸球 ，如果輸了那就下個賽季從頭再來 。很多人一旦來到這個時候就會感到緊張 ，而最偉大的球員就不會如此 。”
“如何對戰巴黎 ？巴黎有著許多出色的球員，我知道這些球員的能力 ，現在沒有阻止他們進攻的防守策略 。他們簡直太出色了 ，我隻有在不考慮這些球員的時候才能睡個好覺 。我們會試圖阻止巴黎 ，而我們需要做的就是整體防守 ，我們要踢出好的比賽並去取得進球。”
巴黎本賽季一路過關斬將 ，曼城會如何應對巴黎呢 ？瓜迪奧拉說道 ：“我認為最好的辦法就是加強控球，贏得球權 。如果一直控製著皮球，就會掌握比賽的主動，這是最好的策略 。我們不會踢防守反擊足球，對手有內馬爾、迪馬利亞 、維拉蒂 、馬爾基尼奧斯等人 ，如果我們防線太靠後 ，肯定會讓他們找到進球的辦法 ，因此這不是最好的方式 。”
采訪的最後 ，瓜迪奧拉談起了內馬爾與姆巴佩：“希望內馬爾不要受傷，我非常欣賞他 ，他幫助了足球的進步 。姆巴佩 ？在他還年輕的時候便已經是世界足球的頂尖 ，他已經幫助法國隊獲得了世界杯冠軍 。他和哈蘭德非常相似。”
