本賽季作為升班馬的隔离滄州雄獅動作很大 ，引進了多名強援 ，曝前然而在第一階段前14輪比賽中隻取得2勝4平8負的亚泰戰績 ，排名廣州賽區第7 ，主帅州已中国這也讓主教練古特比早早下課 ，萨布手沧上個月的利奇足協杯由梯隊教練劉顏臨時接過教鞭 。

塞浦路斯老帥薩布利奇曾先後三次執教亞泰，在2012年首次入主亞泰時率隊奪得當賽季中超第六名 。2013年5月 ，薩布利奇接替李樹斌 ，第二次成為亞泰主教練 ，但次年因為戰績不佳下課 。2019年6月 ，薩布利奇第三次接過球隊教鞭。
從帶隊風格上來講 ，薩布利奇比較崇尚進攻，帶隊指揮也很激情，日常訓練充滿自信 ，這正是滄州隊在中超第一階段最缺失的幾件東西 。
