But it turns out Oreos also make a great canvas. 。

Tisha Cherry is a full-time occupational therapist. But one look at her Instagram and its clear she is also using food to make art in a way that no one else is, especially when it comes to the simple Oreo.。

"Three years ago I twisted open an Oreo and thought the cream looked like a Nike Dunk. I immediately became obsessed with trying to see how many different things I could create out of them," Tisha told。 Mashable. Seeing the world through an Oreo crème lens sounds pretty amazing, especially if it leads to creations like this one.。

Tisha's recent Oreo project is not her first foray into the world of food as art. 。Tisha credits the influence of her father's restaurant in Hell's Kitchen for giving her the desire to work closely with food. As unbelievable as it seems, Tisha tries her best not to use additional food coloring for her Oreo art.。

"I collect the limited edition Oreos throughout the years so I have a collection of flavors/colors," Tisha described. "My 'tool kit' consists of a toothpick, a variety of knives and often times my fingers and hands!" 。"。

Completing an Oreo takes anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours, and Tisha did touch on the fact that it's tough to balance her work on her art with her full-time job as an occupational therapist. However, her passion for this is just too strong to be denied. She is not above dropping everything to make an unplanned grocery store supply run.

Tisha hopes that her Oreo project will encourage others to have a little more appreciation for the mundane things in life, like food and Oreos, because they can be wonderful if given more consideration. 。

"I recently was tagged in a post where an art teacher had her fifth graders look at my Oreo art and make their own creations. That just made my heart explode," Tisha shared. "That's a prime example of what I hope people think of when they see my art."

"I often consume the mess-ups but I do have five trays of my Oreo art in my refrigerator," Tisha said. "I have framed and gifted some as well!"
