目前 ，關於歐足聯和國際足聯是否涉嫌壟斷 ，已經有多方聲音 ，由於沒有其他賽事並行 ，兩大機構似乎在運營一個壟斷的足球聯盟 ，同時利用自身的支配地位 ，來強烈幹涉歐超聯盟的運營。不過 ，歐足聯和國際足聯是否真的違反歐盟競爭法 ，需要馬德裏法院乃至歐洲法院的裁定 。
