需要指出的是 ，尤文圖斯在本賽季的意甲奪冠無望 ，而在歐冠實力不足 ，也難以走到最後 ，在剛結束的意大利超級杯又輸給了國米無緣冠軍 ，因此意大利杯也是尤文本賽季最有可能贏得冠軍的賽事 。而尤文在這項賽事也有著優異的發揮 ，尤文圖斯曾經20次進入意大利杯決賽 ，14次奪冠 ，也是殺入決賽次數與奪得冠軍次數最多的球隊 。
