2023年中國亞洲杯第二階段附加賽日前結束 ，亚洲24支參加預選賽的杯预隊伍全部產生，他們將決出11個晉級正賽的选赛名額 。
2023年中國亞洲杯即第18屆亞足聯亞洲杯足球賽 ，支球争夺是队诞中國繼2004年中國亞洲杯後 ，時隔19年再次舉辦亞洲杯。生将赛名本屆亞洲杯的个正預選賽與2022年世界杯亞洲區預選賽合二為一 。其中，亚洲已晉級12強賽的杯预隊伍包括 ：中國 、澳大利亞 、选赛伊朗、支球争夺敘利亞、队诞沙特阿拉伯 、生将赛名日本 、个正阿聯酋 、亚洲韓國 、阿曼 、伊拉克 、越南 、黎巴嫩以及2022年世界杯東道主卡塔爾隊直接獲得參加2023年亞洲杯正賽的資格；未晉級12強賽的亞洲球隊中，24支成績最好的球隊將參加亞洲杯預選賽第三階段的比賽 。
這24支球隊將分成6個小組 ，每個小組4隊 ，進行主客雙循環的小組賽 ，每個小組前兩名直接晉級 ，4個小組中三個成績最好的小組第三名也可以晉級。屆時 ，13支已經晉級的隊伍和11支通過預選賽決出的隊伍共組成24隊參加正賽 。
同時 ，2022年第20屆女足亞洲杯決賽階段比賽將於本月28日進行分組抽簽儀式 ，中國女足作為第二檔次隊伍參加抽簽 。本屆女足亞洲杯賽是亞足聯對該項賽事實施擴軍之後 ，首次有12支隊伍參加決賽階段比賽 。目前 ，中國女足的主教練競聘正在進行 ，預計本月內將正式宣布新任主教練人選 。
