北京時間4月10日 ，烦警方介據《利物浦回聲報》報道 ，实男默西塞德郡警方證實 ，孩被一男孩在埃弗頓主場VS曼聯的曼联比賽中被客隊球員襲擊，警方目前正與曼聯和埃弗頓兩家俱樂部保持聯係 。袭击
默郡警方發言人表示 ：“我們可以證實，惹麻入证關於球迷在埃弗頓主場VS曼聯比賽中被襲事件 ，烦警方介警方正與曼聯和埃弗頓保持聯係 。实男有報道稱 ，孩被在球員準備離場時，曼联一名客隊球員襲擊了一名男孩 。袭击我們敦促任何了解相關信息的惹麻入证人與警方聯係 。”
結合此前的烦警方介報道 ，襲擊球迷的实男曼聯球員是C羅 。某埃弗頓球迷賬號的視頻顯示 ，在走進球員通道時 ，C羅疑似一巴掌將一名球迷的手機拍打在了地上。在視頻中 ，C羅有一個明顯的彎腰向下發力的動作，可見葡萄牙人對於本場比賽的結果是有多麽的不滿 。
隨後C羅也在社媒發文道歉 ：“困難時刻的情緒管理總是不容易 ，我想為我的爆發道歉 ，如果可能的話 ，我想邀請這位球迷來老特拉福德看比賽 ，以作為公平競爭和體育精神的象征 。”
