昨天 ，国足亞足聯官方發布最新40強賽賽程調整 ，末轮中國隊將在北京時間6月16日淩晨2:00對陣敘利亞隊 ，赛前赛果比原定時間推遲了一個小時。可知
調整後，竞争结果中國隊可以在賽前就知道C組 、对手对黎E組、巴嫩G組競爭對手的已有预期比賽結局。H組最後一輪黎巴嫩隊VS韓國隊的国足比賽13日進行 ，中國隊也能有心理準備。末轮這樣的赛前赛果安排顯然對中國隊既有動力也構成壓力，尤其不能有絲毫的可知僥幸心理 。
日前 ，竞争结果中國隊前主教練米盧蒂諾維奇表示 ：“中國隊的对手对黎實力是高於敘利亞隊的 ，做好自己就能擊敗對手，巴嫩把訓練的東西踢出來 ，就能戰勝敘利亞隊 。”也就是說 ，米盧看好中國隊進軍世預賽亞洲區12強賽。但他也婉轉表示 ，不看好“鐵軍”能夠出現在卡塔爾世界杯賽場 ：“這很不容易。”
雖然中國隊的40強賽第二循環賽程已過半 ，但疫情防控工作沒有任何放鬆 ，越到最後越不能掉以輕心 。
中國隊此次包下位於沙迦的一座四星級酒店，目的就是防疫 ，能夠在最大限度內保障球員以及工作人員的安全 ，減少代表團與外界接觸 。據前方的信息 ，中國足協對酒店有嚴格要求 ，所有服務人員盡可能不與球隊接觸 ，房間由隊員和工作人員自行收拾，垃圾整理好之後 ，將垃圾袋自行放到電梯口的垃圾箱裏。每天訓練之後換洗的衣服，原來由服務員收 、洗完之後再送回，這次是由球隊的工作人員統一收回送洗，取回之後再由工作人員消毒一遍，才會送回隊員房間 。就餐時 ，餐廳裏除了隊員與工作人員之外，服務人員盡可能不進入餐廳 ，全部就餐結束之後才收拾 、打掃 。總之 ，中國隊此次的防疫措施是非常嚴格細致的 。
