北京時間3月15日，上海申花召開新援見麵會 ，谈选腾新援巴索戈和吳曦共同出席 ，择申重感新賽季巴索戈將身披17號球衣 ，花个欢折在申花這是情又一個象征著速度的號碼 ，吳曦則身披12號球衣。不喜對於從代表江蘇奪冠到重返申花的吴曦心路曆程 ，吳曦坦言 ，谈选腾最大的择申重感影響就是耽誤訓練 。至於選擇回歸申花的花个欢折原因 ，吳曦回答 ：“我是情又個重感情又不喜歡折騰的人 。”
吳曦表示 ：“非常榮幸回到申花這個大家庭 ，不喜剛才看到兩位小將青澀的吴曦狀態 ，也想到自己第一次加盟申花時候的谈选腾情景 ，非常感謝吳總和周總 ，择申重感在我最需要的時候跟我聯係 ，幫助我回歸 ，感謝崔指導對於我的信任 ，我也會以一個新人的標準 ，去要求自己 ，重新起步 。”
談到自己從江蘇奪冠到球隊解散 ，再到重返申花的心路曆程 ，吳曦感慨表示：“其實對於我個人而言最大的影響就是影響個人訓練 ，畢竟我是一個職業球員，其他事情可以交給團隊去做 ，但我希望可以盡快恢複職業球員的訓練 ，把最近欠缺的東西盡快補上 。爭取在聯賽開始前把狀態調整到最佳 。”
對於最終選擇申花的原因 ，吳曦表示 ：“選擇加盟申花 ，是因為我是一個喜歡安定，不喜歡折騰的人，我也是一個重感情的人 。江蘇出問題之後 ，第一時間吳總和周總就與我取得聯係 ，我也非常感謝 ，有過第一次加盟的情感在，促使我最終回歸申花 。”
重返康橋基地 ，吳曦坦言變化不大 ：“宿舍樓有一個房間改成了健身房，其他沒啥變化 ，吃飯的時候 ，兩個阿姨過來打招呼 ，還有一個工作人員都是過去的熟人。”
吳曦在申花將身披12號球衣，據他介紹 ，12號對於他有特殊的意義 。“我兒子是12號出生 ，大女兒也是12號出生 ，我和太太的結婚紀念日也是12號 ，所以我非常喜歡這個號碼 。”（搜狐體育 裴力）
