9月28日 ，卡纳廣州足球俱樂部發布官方公告稱 ，瓦罗經友好協商 ，放弃俱樂部決定與球隊主教練法比奧-卡納瓦羅終止合約 。亿薪约作為球隊隊長的水解鄭智有可能會成為代理主教練 ，率隊踢完本賽季餘下的到万比賽 。
自2017年11月開始 ，退税卡納瓦羅擔任廣州隊主教練 ，补偿率廣州隊取得了2018年中國足球協會超級杯冠軍、卡纳2019年中國足球協會超級聯賽冠軍等多項榮譽 。瓦罗廣州足球俱樂部在這紙官方公告中表示 ，放弃衷心感謝卡納瓦羅為球隊所付出的亿薪约巨大努力和積極貢獻 ，祝福他未來一切順利 。水解
據了解 ，到万卡納瓦羅與廣州足球俱樂部的退税合同是在2022年年底到期 ，從這一紙公告來看 ，雙方已就提前一個賽季解約達成了共識。有媒體透露 ，卡納瓦羅放棄了1.2億的薪水 ，但也得到了4000萬元的退稅作為補償 。據悉 ，這原本屬於俱樂部的一筆優惠政策收益 ，廣州隊將此當成提前解約的賠償 。
