隨著蘇州賽區第一階段比賽的鲁媒良机全部結束 ，中超第二階段分組也已經正式確定 ，泰山泰泰山隊以兩個賽區第一名的队迎身份進入爭冠組 ，第二階段將與海港 、冲击成关亞泰、中超战海國安和河北隊各進行雙循環較量 ，冠军港亚形勢不錯的鲁媒良机泰山隊將向聯賽冠軍發起衝擊 。
由於國安4-2戰勝申花 ，泰山泰國安成功逆襲進入爭冠組 ，队迎而申花則跌入保級組 ，冲击成关河北隊戰平武漢 ，中超战海也拿到了一個爭冠組名額 。冠军港亚至此，鲁媒良机中超第二階段的泰山泰分組出爐 ，爭冠組的队迎8支球隊為泰山隊 、廣州隊 、深圳隊 、廣州城 、海港 、亞泰 、國安和河北隊，保級組的8支球隊為 ：河南隊 、重慶隊 、滄州雄獅 、青島隊 、申花、武漢隊 、津門虎和大連人 。
按照規則 ，第二階段泰山隊將與蘇州賽區的4支球隊各進行雙循環對決 ，一共有8場比賽，最終兩個階段22場比賽的積分相加來確定名次 ，爭冠組排出1-8位 ，保級組則位列9-16位。
從總的積分榜來看 ，泰山隊33分排名第一，廣州隊30分緊隨其後 ，蘇州賽區的前兩名海港和亞泰都是28分 ，在隻剩8場比賽的情況下，泰山隊的5分優勢並不算小，主要競爭對手還是廣州隊。從積分來看 ，泰山隊已經占據了主動 ，隻要做好自己 ，就有望時隔11年後再次拿到聯賽冠軍 。
縱觀第二階段的4個對手 ，海港的整體實力還是更強 ，本賽季泰山隊兩次與對手熱身都沒有贏球 ，這兩場比賽將非常關鍵 。此外 ，亞泰本賽季的表現也非常出色 ，外援齊整的他們反擊非常犀利 ，泰山隊也要務必小心 。
泰山隊還有好消息 ，此前回到中國的莫伊塞斯已經結束了全部的隔離 ，返回了俱樂部 ，心情不錯的他還與德爾加多和賈德鬆一起用餐 。由於泰山隊要到9月1日集結 ，足協杯比賽則在10月份開打 ，莫伊塞斯有充足的時間恢複狀態 。
