北京時間12月9日 ，中國男足將結束在上海的克森防疫觀察期，返回各自俱樂部球隊 ，日乘足協高層也將前往北京 ，机返與體育總局領導就未來國家隊的回巴建設等問題進行進一步溝通 。由於廣州恒大受母公司債務影響 ，西明長期拖欠歸化球員薪水 ，年否高拉特已經完成解約返回巴西 ，为国加盟巴甲勁旅帕爾梅拉斯隊 。出战而艾克森也已經初步確定 ，暂无12日也將乘機離開 ，明确有消息稱 ，说法艾克森的曝艾下家很可能也是帕爾梅拉斯隊 。
據了解艾克森在離開國足之後 ，克森將先前往廣州 ，日乘與廣州俱樂部商討合同相關問題 ，雙方直接達成解約的可能性非常大 。此前歸化艾克森的費用都是由廣州恒大承擔 ，雙方還剩下兩年合同 ，一旦完成解約，艾克森是否願意再為國足出戰，目前尚不得而知 。
國足在上海期間 ，管理層與艾克森也進行了認真的交流 ，希望艾克森1月份能夠重返國足待命 ，但艾克森始終堅持要先跟廣州俱樂部商量合同相關事宜，然後再作決定 。此前另外一名歸化球員阿蘭已經從沙迦直接乘機返回巴西與家人團聚 。有消息稱 ，艾克森本人也已經確定了12日的航班，從廣州返回巴西休假 。而來自巴西媒體的消息稱 ，艾克森在與恒大解約之後 ，將步高拉特後塵 ，加盟帕爾梅拉斯隊 。
目前在廣州隊官網所公布的球員名單上，已經沒有了阿蘭和艾克森的名字。考慮到疫情等因素 ，艾克森一旦返回巴西 ，1月底代表國足出戰的可能性就將變得微乎其微。
在艾克森離隊之後，國足接下來的當務之急是能夠留住蔣光太 。蔣光太在廣州隊的工資並不算太高 ，而且作為中後衛位置上的稀缺資源 ，此前曾經有深足、山東泰山等多個俱樂部與蔣光太傳出過緋聞 。此外上海海港後防線上的外援中後衛邁斯托洛維奇連續出現嚴重傷病 ，未來在中後衛位置上也存在進一步補強的可能性 。（搜狐體育 裴力）
