中國隊今天結束入境後的国足隔离封閉隔離觀察 ，隊伍計劃從蘇州基地前往上海進行“居家自我觀察” 。无惧亞足聯今天下午舉行12強賽分組抽簽 ，同组中國足協 、结束将赴居中國隊教練組將遠程關注分組結果 ，赛区並立即啟動相關準備工作。自观
在14天封閉隔離觀察期間 ，国足隔离中國隊邊總結邊訓練 ，无惧由於12強賽與40強賽所麵臨對手不同 ，同组比賽中承受的结束将赴居壓力有著天壤之別 ，因此訓練內容和強度也不一樣 ，赛区隊員在這段時間裏提前感受到了未來12強賽將麵臨的自观艱苦挑戰 。“居家自我觀察”期間隊伍的国足隔离訓練仍然會保持一定強度，但教練組也會考慮到各俱樂部實際需要 ，无惧幫助隊員調整恢複 ，同组以利於狀態達到俱樂部要求。一切順利的話，隊伍8日暫時解散 ，隊員回各自俱樂部準備本月中旬開始的中超首階段剩餘比賽 ，中國隊計劃於8月中旬再次集中 ，備戰9月初開始的12強賽 。
今天下午3時 ，亞足聯進行12強賽分組抽簽 ，中國足協 、中國隊教練組將密切關注分組結果。雖然外界也在幫助中國隊分析抽到哪些隊伍是“上簽”，但據了解 ，中國足協 、李鐵沒有寄希望於和誰同組的想法 ，中國足協主席陳戌源曾表示 ：“與12強賽任何一支隊伍交鋒 ，中國隊都要使出百分之百 、百分之二百的力量 ，從這一點上說，無所謂和誰分在一組 。”
如果亞足聯、國際足聯最終決定比賽采取主客場賽製，屆時中國隊主場比賽有可能會因疫情防控而放到第三方場地進行 。40強賽中國隊把阿聯酋沙迦變成“主場” ，據悉沙迦仍是中國隊12強賽的備選場地之一。
