賽後 ，詹俊老師對本場比賽發表了自己的看法。他認為 ，從索思蓋特本場比賽的首發排兵布陣來看 ，英格蘭並沒有像對陣蘇格蘭那樣猶猶豫豫 ，而是鐵了心爭奪小組第一 。與其不停觀望算計出線後的形勢 ，還不如直接搶奪小組第一，這樣在八分之一決賽中 ，三獅軍團將會坐鎮新溫布利大球場對陣F組的第二名 。不管這支球隊是誰 ，他們都可以以相當於“主隊”的身份來進行淘汰賽 ，而且任何一支球隊想在溫布利擊敗他們，都不是那麽容易的 。
