為了增強女足國家隊教練組力量 ，中国足守足教原國家隊守門員及守門員教練區楚良加入正在備戰東亞杯的女足中國女足教練組團隊 。2022年東亞足球錦標賽將於7月19日—7月27日在日本舉行 ，官方中國女足將分別於7月20日 、原国23日和26日對陣中國台北 、教练韓國、区楚以及日本女足。良加练组
作為曾經的入女國腳 ，區楚良無論在球技還是中国足守足教職業素養方麵都是業界公認的標兵 。在此之前 ，女足他曾先後輔佐高洪波 、官方李鐵 、原国李霄鵬等多位主教練執教國足 。教练由於國足本年度已無賽事和集訓安排 。区楚於是良加练组 ，中國女足教練組經與中國足協溝通後，最終確認邀請區楚良進入教練組 。
在中國足球圈內 ，區楚良的能力 、經驗與口碑都獲得過各方的認可，前一陣時間沸沸揚揚的"馮鞏大戰" ，最終也是由於區楚良出麵與鞏漢林進行了一番互動後，最終平息下來 。此外 ，此前李霄鵬和李鐵在國家隊的帥位交接 ，也有區楚良的身影 。（編輯 劉水土）
