羅傑斯在接受采訪時表示 ，罗杰联传留莱自己對於在皇權球場的斯否斯特生活非常滿意 ，並直截了當地否認了與曼聯帥位的承诺城緋聞 ，“我不把它當作一回事 ，罗杰联传留莱它不是斯否斯特真的 。直到曼聯找到一名全職主帥之前 ，承诺城流言蜚語總會是罗杰联传留莱有的 。”
緊接著 ，斯否斯特羅傑斯向萊斯特城表達了忠心，承诺城“我的承諾是留在這裏（萊斯特城） ，這裏的球隊文化是如何幫助球員提高 ，這也是我所關注的 。而在這個階段 ，甚至是我更加關注的 。”
