南安普頓俱樂部官方發布公告稱 ：“南安普頓確認 ，易主Sport Republic集團已經完成了對俱樂部控股權的中资收購。這是老板离场一家涉及體育和娛樂產業的投資集團 ，他們收購了高繼勝先生持有的亏本俱樂部股份 ，而南安普頓的甩卖另一位股東卡特琳娜-利勃海爾則保留了她的股份。南安普頓俱樂部祝福高繼勝先生及其家人未來一切順利 。南安”
高繼勝是普顿中國杭州人 ，也是官方股份萊茵達控股集團的老板 。他在2017年8月用2.1億英鎊買下了南安普頓俱樂部80%的宣布股份 ，而原南安普頓老板卡特琳娜-利勃海爾則保留了20%的易主股份 。不過在中資入主後南安普頓的中资成績下滑 ，此前四個賽季在英超分別排在第17 、第16 、第11 、第15 ，而本賽季4勝9平6負在英超積分榜上排在第14位 。
據《郵報》透露 ，高繼勝在兩年前就準備出售南安普頓俱樂部 ，但一直沒有找到報價合適的買家 。最終隻能接受Sport Republic集團的報價 ，這比他當初購買俱樂部時的價格要低了很多 。南安普頓俱樂部CEO馬丁-塞門斯將留任 ，他表示 ：“Sport Republic集團是經驗豐富的投資者 ，我們很高興能達成協議 ，確保俱樂部的短期和長期未來 。我們在全世界尋找有抱負和能力的投資人 ，帶領我們進入下一個時代，我很高興地證實我們已經找到了 。”
Sport Republic集團由塞爾維亞媒體巨頭德拉甘-索拉克、前布倫特福德CEO拉斯穆斯-安克森 、丹麥投資者亨裏克-克拉夫特等人聯合創建 。索拉克是United Group集團的創始人 ，這是一家在巴爾幹地區和東南歐運營的付費電視、寬帶和移動電話公司 ，並擁有該地區的英超轉播權 。
索拉克表示 ：“我和我的合作夥伴在體育和娛樂行業的長期投資方麵擁有豐富的經驗 。Sport Republic集團的成立旨在結合這些專業知識並為市場提供獨特的產品 ，南安普頓俱樂部將成為我們計劃的基石 。”
