北京時間12月3日，冬窗大促據《太陽報》報道，挥泪三獅名宿約翰-巴恩斯諫言 ，利物如果狼隊球星阿達瑪-特勞雷願意承擔坐在板凳上的浦动風險的話 ，他將是心否现利物浦在冬窗引援的一筆好買賣 。
自從夏天轉會窗口開啟之前 ，镑万特勞雷就一直與轉會安菲爾德緋聞不斷 ，冬窗大促但狼隊關於他5000萬鎊的挥泪要價嚇退了紅軍。

巴恩斯談到 ：“利物浦並不必要再簽下一名進攻球員，因為他們還有若塔 、奧裏吉 、菲爾米諾 。”
“還有其他的球員 ，都可以在短時間內填補空缺 。在一月份 ，我們不必期待球隊陣容變得更好 。”
“因為利物浦並不會在一月份簽下一個比現有球員更好的，價值6000萬鎊或是7000萬鎊的球員 。”
“球隊不僅僅是要考慮在薩拉赫和馬內不在的時候得到一個人這麽簡單 。誰會願意來到利物浦，成為紅軍陣容中重要的一員，同時又在薩拉赫和馬內回來後 ，乖乖坐在板凳席上呢 ？”
